A Captured Performance – Lee Smillie

Lee Smillie has been an artist in residence at Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery for three months. On 24 January from 6:30pm, Lee will be showcasing his body of work produced as a response to this exhibition, including Photography, Sculpture and a live performance.

The exhibition will then run until 30 March 2019.

“The thought process for my time spent at Blackburn museum; I reacted to the environment of a space that holds a connection with the past, like my own relationship with my work, the past is always there but through the sight of the present and future, a performance shall be presented along side six photographs”.

Thursday 24 January 2019 / 6:30 – 8:30pm with the live performance happening at 7:00pm

*There is also an exhibition by David Boultbee next door at The Making Rooms happening from 6:30-8:30pm on the same evening.

His exhibition titled ‘Everything I know in Blackburn’ is also the culmination of his work as a resident artist with the Making Rooms.
