Get Crafty at Home

During the first lockdown our Front of House Team created a series of fun Get Crafty activities for children to complete whilst at home. The activities were ones you would normally have had the opportunity to complete whilst visiting the Museum. The downloadable resources were so successful we decided to continue adding crafts when we reopened in July.

Many of the crafts will have downloadable templates but we are also trying to create crafts using everyday items you may have at home. Baxter the Badger, our mascot, has been  searching through the recycling and looking round the museum for ideas.

They are accessible for SEND, infant and junior aged children.

Our downloadable resources are below and we will be adding content regularly, so make sure you visit again and see what’s new!

Once you have made your get crafty activity, why not tweet or send us a picture to museum@blackburn.gov.uk and we will share it for you on our social media platforms using the hashtag #BaxtersCrafts
