Object Identification Drop-in

Have you ever found an interesting object while walking, digging in the garden, metal detecting, or doing something else? Do you have an object at home and would like to find out more? If so, why not bring your mystery item to our Object Identification drop-in on Saturday 12th November. Lancashire’s Portable Antiquities Finds Liaison Officer will be available to help identify your archaeological finds and the museum’s Curators will be on hand to answer your art and history enquiries.

The Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) is a national programme co-ordinated by the British Museum. It assists with the identification and recording of archaeological finds discovered by members of the public. To find out more about the Portable Antiquities Scheme visit https://finds.org.uk/
