The Watercolours of J.M.W Turner (1775 – 1851)

A selection of Turner’s watercolours from our Collection

Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery is open again after lockdown restrictions closed its doors back at the beginning of November 2020.

To celebrate we are exhibiting a selection of our J.M.W Turner collection.

The small display is the first time we have exhibited some of the watercolours since 2015.

The watercolours on display are:

  • Assos, c.1835
  • The Falls of Terni, c.1819
  • Tynemouth, c.1822
  • Mainz, c.1834
  • Ramah (Rachel’s Tomb), c.1835
