Friends of Blackburn Museum Monthly Talk
The Friends’ programme of monthly meetings will recommence on 10th October. The Friends programme includes a series of talks which usually take place at the Museum on the second Tuesday of the month at 2pm from October until June.
The opening event of the 2023-24 season will be a talk at the Museum & Art Gallery, 2pm on 10th October, when Jenny Rutter returns to talk about the 2023 British Textile Biennial which will be taking place at the time of the talk. The Textile Biennial includes events and exhibitions throughout East Lancashire, many of them in Blackburn. Jenny Rutter is Chair of Creative Lancashire and Co-director of Super Slow Way.
The Museum and Art Gallery is currently open at the usual times despite the work taking place to repair the roof of the building.
